Pakol Hat (Light Grey)
Our Pakol (or Pakul) hats, also known more commonly in Afghanistan as 'Massoud' hats - after Ahmed Shah Massoud, the Northern Alliance commander from the early 2000's, are common in Pakistan and Afghanistan alike. They specifically originate from Chitral in Northern Pakistan and can also be referred to as Chitral Hats to confuse matters.
Ours are bought from Afghanistan but come from a supplier in Pakistan and are one of the few items we don't have made actually in Afghanistan.
They are generally made of wool and available in a variety of natural shades you'd expect on a sheep, from white-brown-black.
They are a fairly basic design and one size generally fits all, you simply pull or stretch them to best fit. They are not the best quality, but are fun and also very warm!
