• Hosting a ‘digital first’ community for veterans of Afghanistan, AVC seeks to provide a centralised platform to connect our community, signpost to assistance available from across the service charity sector, and create a sense of empathy and understanding of the views of our community.

COMMEMORATE

• AVC is a leading voice on representing the views and interests of our community for all national commemorative activity relating to the campaign in Afghanistan. We ensure that there is dedicated representation at national commemorative events, such as the annual Cenotaph Parade. We also support a wider programme of events and community activity.

EDUCATE

• AVC seek to ensure that the narrative of the achievements of the UK's campaign in Afghanistan remains part of the national conscience, continues to be accessible to the public, and forms part of national education programmes. This includes working with local, devolved, and centralised government, the national museum sector, and delivering progressive PR campaign strategies to help tell the stories of our community.
