This contemporary Afghan rug has a design which seems to be inspired by an arial view of the earth. The blue, grey and black is then overlaid with a much more traditional gold coloured motif.

Handcrafted by Afghan artisans employing traditional weaving techniques refined over generations. 

Produced under fair trade standards, this rug ensures equitable compensation for the skilled weavers whilst preserving authentic Afghan textile heritage. 

Natural vegetable dyes are used to colour the wool used to create this striking piece. Any darker areas in the photos are simply lighting issues or creases from travel. Please be assured that the rug is consistent in colour throughout.

Please ignore any creases, these are caused by being tightly packed in transit for over 6 weeks. The creases drop out within a week or so, once the rug is flat and walked on.
