Turkoman (also Turkmen) kilims are made by the nomadic Turkoman people, these are specifically made by the Olam people in Northern Afghanistan. They can also be found in North East Iran and Turkmenistan of course. 

They are very strong and thicker than the Maymana kilims, with a raised profile, but unlike Maymana kilims are one sided due to the more dense nature of the weave (see photos).

This 125cm x 88cm Green, Gold & Blue Turkoman Kilim is skillfully handmade using 100% wool and natural vegetable dyes.
