190cm x 145cm Vintage Silk Suzani
'Suzani' means 'needle' in Dari, so these are what you would expect and are embroideries/needlecraft. Suzani's are used as curtains, wall decorations, table cloths and often quilted or turned into cushions or other furnishings.
These are imperfect, we receive these vintage Suzani's with odd marks of biro where the embroiderers have marked the cloth for their pattern template. We have had them professionally cleaned and hemmed, although some have a little colour bleed in the dyes and others still have a few blemishes as they are old, but overall this does not detract from their beauty and use.
